Oh My!


This scrap quilt is machine pieced and machine quilted.  When is put the squares on the design wall at the quilt retreat the reaction was "Oh, My!" until we balanced the colors a little better.  I keep this for the grand kids when the stay over. It was completed in 2017.

Wine Country



This twin size quilt was made for Keegan to take to college. The quilt is from McCalls Quick Quilts magazine Dec/Jam1917. Machine pieced and machine quilted.  Kameren picked out the pattern for her brother.

Scrap quilt


This is a machine pieced and machine quilted scrap quilt.  Mary Lonz has it.

Placemats


 Often as Christmas presents, I make placemats  with napkins.


Theses placemats were reversible. I made them from a Dresden Plate tool from Nancy's Notions.

Christmas Wreath Wall Hanging


I made this wall hanging for  Martha and one for Jim as a Christmas present. The pattern is " A Wreath for my Front Door" from the book Quilted for Christmas  by That Patchwork Place.

Color Outside the Lines

This wall hanging I made for my step daughter, Amy, who is an art teacher in Baltimore, Maryland. The pattern was made by Kelli Fannin Quilt designs. I machine pieced it and quilted it with invisible thread. It was finished in 2018.

Grandmother's Fan

This is a queen size quilt that I made from the Big Book of Best Loved Quilt Patterns. Since the quilting is quite ornate I did it on a hoop instead of the quilt frame. The fans are pieced and then appliqued.  I completed it in 2018.

We've gone to Plaid


This quilt pattern was purchased from a Pfaff dealer at the Wisconsin Quilt festival. It is labeled as a Jenland Arts Pattern but I have never been able to find out anything about the company. I finished it in October of 2018 as a gift for my grandson, Russell. The quilt is made of Kona cottons, machine pieced and hand quilted

Dogs in Sweaters


This quilt was completed in November of 2018. It is a pattern by Elizabeth Hartman. I made it for my brother, Michael, and his wife. They have a wire haired dachshund named Buddy. The sweaters are made of flannel. The quilt is machine pieced and hand quilted with an overall pattern of dog bones.

Leaf Quilt


I saw a quilt like this in a catalog but it was for a twin. I made a queen and I used the same size leaves as I did in the Third Weekend in October quilt. I drew them up on graph paper and then arranged them in a scatter plan. It made assembling s little tricky.  I knew Bill and Rejina's bedroom was a peach color so I sent it to them in 2018. It is machine pieced and hand quilted.

City Scape


I saw this quilt in Pinterest and modified it to fit over my bed.  The colors match the new wall color.  It is really a log cabin and uses all Kona cottons. It is machine pieced and hand quilted.  It was completed in 2016.

Third Weekend in October



This quilt is a large queen and is basically on nine patch.  It was very difficult.  Carole Bodalski and I each made one working together. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. I finished it in 2017 and gave it to Martha Uicker.

Sampler Quilt





I started this quilt several years earlier in a quilting class sponsored by Cameo Quilter's Guild. I after added more squares and made a queen size quilt for Gretel Johnson.  Each square is different and each is hand quilted differently. It was finished in 2017.

Two by Two



This twin size quilt was a kit from McCall's Quilting. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. I keep it here for the grandchildren to use. It was finished in 2017.

Winding Trails

I had planned on making a snail trail quilt for Gretel and Tom Johnson but I assembled the squares incorrectly and got a winding trail pattern instead.  The quilt is queen size,machine pieced and hand quilted. It was completed in 2017.

We're All Ears

This twin quilt was made for Miles Hunter but his sister Avery loved it so that she uses it. It is hand appliqued and hand quilted. I finished it in 2015.The pattern was from Mc Call's Quilting

Another Five yard quilt



This is another 5 yard quilt that I made as a throw for my Mom. It is machine pieced and hand quilted in 2015.  Martha Uicker has it now.

Log Cabin


This is a queen size quilt  for my own bed.  It is machine pieced and hand quilted and finished in 2016.  If you look carefully you will see a glaring mistake which I didn't notice until I had finished quilting it.

Christmas Wall Hanging

This wall hanging was from a kit I purchased at the quilt Expo in Madison Wisconsin.  It is machine appliqued and hand quilted. I made it in 2015

Comfy quilts


I have a friend who makes pajamas for needy children. She gives me her scraps which I use for charity quilts and also these "comfy quilts". They are flannel small triangles on the one side and large triangles on the other.  I have one, Mindy loves it, Jim Gretel and Mary have one and so does my friend who gave me the scraps. They are simply yarn tied with no batting inside.

Impromptu



This large queen size quilt is basically a dissected nine patch. I made it in 2016 for Amy and Seth Scott. The pattern is by Rachel Griffith Designs. It is machine pieced and hand quilted in a bamboo pattern. The cat is Fervor.

Hunter's Star


This Hunter's Star Quilt is queen size and was made for my niece, Mary Anne Hunter. She wanted Florida colors and I hand quilted it with a sea shell design.  It was completed in 2015.

Teddy Bear Party



This twin size quilt was made for Molly Johnson in 2014.  The pattern was from a Quiltmaker magazine May/June2003.  I modified it from a crib size and changed the number of balloons the bears were holding. Sine Molly's mother, Gretel Johnson works for Math for America, this quilt can be used to teach math concepts from counting to set theory. I understand this has not been done.


Let Sleeping Dogs Lie



This twin size quilt was made for Sofie Lonz in 2014. The pattern is from Quiltmaker magazine Sept/Oct 2011. The quilt is hand appliques and hand quilted.

Lap quilt from Neckties



This is a lap quilt made for Mary Alyce and Jim Gaffke for their 50th wedding anniversary in 2014. The quilt is made from ties belonging to Jim Gaffke, Russell Hunter and Mel Hindy. The quilt is backed with wool.

King's Corner





This queen size quilt was made for Jim Uicker in 2014. The pattern is from the book Fat Quarter Winners by Monique Dillard.  Jim is a bridge player and all the patterns in this book were card games.  The quilt is machine pieced and hand quilted.

Twist and Shout





This is a twin size quilt I started at a class given by Ginny Pfeifer. It is machine pieced and machine quilted.

Katiera's quilt


This quilt was made for Katiera Uicker, my honorary grand daughter. The top is flannel, twin size, machine pieced and machine quilted. Finished in 2013.  She liked the cupcakes on the back best. The pattern was a free pattern from American Patchwork and Quilting called MNow and Later

Twin I Spy Quilts




    These are twin bunk bed quilts I made for my honorary grandchildren (really my great nephews)Michael and Joshua. They were machine quilted and machine pieced and done in 2013.

Triple Star/Sawtooth Star


This queen size quilt was made for Martha Uicker. The pattern is from the book Quilts Galore. It sat unfinished for several years. It is machine pieced and hand quilted.  It was finished in 2013.

I Spy





This "I Spy" quilt was made in 2013 for my grandson, Sammy. It was my own design. Mary Lonz helped me find many of the animal prints. It is twin size, machine pieced and machine quilted.

Art Quilt




This is my "art quilt". I designed this quilt for my brother, Michael and his wife, Marilyn's 40th wedding anniversary. Since his retirement, my brother, has become an amateur bird watcher. I dyed the blue background fabric. The tree was from an illustration on how to prune a pear tree in the Master Gardener workbook. I found pictures of the birds online and appliqued them to the tree, The quilt took me three years to finish

in 2013. It is hand appliqued, hand quilted, and queen size.

Five Yard Quilt




This full size quilt was made for Dorothy Haynes in 2013. It is from a modified pattern for a five yard quilt given to me by Linda Wallace. It is machine pieced and hand quilted.

American Doll Quilts.

 My Grand daughter, Kameren has three American Girl Dolls.  Her dad made her triple bunkbeds for them. These blankets are made of flannel, machine pieced and quilted. They were made in 2013.

Patriotic Tablecloth



This picnic quilt was made from a pattern in Quilt magazine June/July 2021. It was made in 2012 from jeans donated to me from Mary Lonz, Martha Uicker, and Gretel Johnson. It is machine pieced and assembled in circles. It does not need to be quilted.  It is very heavy.

Jacob's Ladder



This quilt was begun in the 1970's and finished in 2012. I started it for Jim but he didn't like it. It is machine pieced and hand quilted.

Joseph's Pinwheel



This crib quilt was made for Gretel and Tom Johnson on the birth of their daughter, Molly, in 2012. The pattern came from Fonz and Porter's magazine Love of Quilting.  It was machine pieced and hand quilted

Sun Compass



This queen size quilt was made for Rejina Injety and Bill Uicker in 2011. The pattern was designed using the EQ software. Rejina expressly like yellow. The quilt was machine pieced and hand quilted.

Tesselated Cats



This wall hanging was adapted from a Jinny Beyer pattern. It hung over our bed. It replaced a framed picture which Arnold, our cat often tried to look behind. We were afraid it would fall on us during the night so I replaced it with something softer. It was machine pieced and hand quilted in 2011.

Sofie's Baby quilt



This crib quilt was made for Mary and Brian Lonz's first child, Sofie. The pattern was adapted from "Nursey Rhymes" in the book Rock -a-by Quilts. I substituted jungle animals for the cow jumping over the moon.  I got my animal patterns from wall stickers which I bought at the Dollar Tree. The quilt was machine stitched, hand applique, hand embroidered and hand quilted in 2011

Avery's Quilt



This crib quilt was made for Julie and Michael Hunter's first child, Avery It was made in 2011, machine pieced and hand quilted.

Sampler Quilt





This is a queen size sampler quilt I made for Margie and Frank del Rosario on the occasion of their 40th wedding anniversary. I used the EQ computer program to select my blocks and arrange them. I showed the quilt in the Cameo Quilters' Guild Show in 2011. The quilt was machine pieced and hand quilted

OK to be Different



This sunbonnet Sue quilt was made for my grand daughter Kameren Scott,. It is twin size, machine pieced and hand quilted in 2010. It is from a pattern by Pam Bono in More Quick Rotary Cutter Quilts.
